Test Purpose:

Haemogram serves as a broad screening panel that checks for the presence of any diseases and infections in the body.

Diabetic Profile
Test Purpose:

Fasting blood sugar. This is a common test because it's easy to perform. After fasting overnight, you have your blood drawn at an early morning doctor's visit and tested to see if your blood sugar is in the normal range.| Normal result: 70-99 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl) or less than 5.5 mmol/L | Two-hour postprandial test. This blood test is done two hours after you have eaten ("prandial" means meal).| Normal result: 70-145 mg/dL (less than 7.9 mmol/L)| Random blood sugar. A blood sugar test is performed regardless of when you last ate a meal.| Normal result: 70-125 mg/dL (less than 7.0 mmol/L)| Hemoglobin A1C test. This test measures how much sugar is stuck to your red blood cells, which generally have a lifespan of three months.| Therefore, this test gauges how high your blood sugar has been in recent months.

Prepare for test :

For a fasting blood glucose test, you can’t eat or drink anything but water for eight hours before your test. You may want to schedule a fasting glucose test first thing in the morning so you don’t have to fast during the day. You may eat and drink before a random glucose test. To conduct the PPBS test, a meal has to be eaten just 2 hours before the sample of blood is taken. The home blood test is the most common way to check the levels.

Lipid Profile
Test Purpose:

The lipid profile test is a combination of tests conducted together to check for any risks of coronary heart disease, or as a preventive measure to check any risks depending on factors like eating habits, diet, stress, exercise and life-style related.

Includes:

Cholesterol levels are measured in milligrams (mg) per deciliter (dL) of blood. The lipid profile normal values are as follows: LDL: 70 to 130 mg/dL (the lower, the better) HDL: more than 40 to 60 mg/dL (the higher, the better) Total cholesterol: less than 200 mg/dL (the lower, the better) Triglycerides: 10 to 150 mg/dL (the lower, the better) If your results are outside the normal range, you might be at a higher risk of strokes, heart diseases, etc. On receiving abnormal results, our doctor may order some additional tests like a blood glucose test for diabetes, or a thyroid test to see if you have an underactive thyroid.

Prepare for test :

Requires Fasting Fasting samples needs to be collected after a minimum 12-14 hour overnight fasting status. Clear fluids like water can be consumed during this period.
